D.H.(Don)Elzer has produced this series of original digital prints so that you can enjoy what inspires him – the Moon and the Monashee. The portfolio also contains thoughts compiled by the artist as he makes his journey through British Columbia’s Monashee Mountains
When the mountain peaks are unveiled, a world is exposed to one’s imagination. Here the Shuswap River is a dwarf of its former self, only a few more tributaries exist this far upstream and each of them mark a beginning for this mighty river.
This deep forest contained within its mountain landscape provides a theatre of life which plays in moments defined by the Sun and the Moon. One can see the trees as living beings with each tree seeking to reach until her roots intertwine with another – and then many. She will seek to become something larger than herself.
Her quest is constant.
