Yasei Shinrin-Yoku Bodywork and Spa Certifications provide bodywork practitioners and spas with enhanced opportunities that will compliment their independent practice.
The Wildcraft Forest School has applied its unique approach to nature-based wellness and combined it with Ayurvedic practices in order to provide a clinical approach to Yasei Shinrin Yoku.
Ayurvedic medicine is one of the world's oldest medical systems and remains one of India's traditional health care systems. Ayurvedic treatment combines products (mainly derived from plants, but may also include animal, metal, and mineral), diet, exercise, and lifestyle.
We believe that by applying Ayurvedic practices that include wild forest-based Yasei outdoor activities, wellness teas, massage oils and other topical nutraceuticals that an individual can achieve a quality wellness experience. We have created three training programs within the Yasei Shinrin Yoku Bodywork and Spa Program.
According to Ayurveda, our health relies on our harmony and balance with the elements (Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Ether or Space), which make up our constitutions of vata, pitta, and kapha. This means that a disconnect from nature is a risk and something to examine. Nature, by its very essence, heals us and keeps us healthy.
Nature allows us to remember we are more than “this body” and “this mind,” and that if we are to be healthy we need to be whole and connected with nature. Our connection to nature is embedded within our DNA, the forest provides us with all the psychological and chemical attributes needed to live healthy lives – but our challenge is to learn how to reconnect with the living forest and this might be difficult when we are not able to get outside into healthy environments.
Within this program we have developed techniques and products that brings the wild forest to you and through bodywork practices combined with wildcrafted nutraceuticals participants can achieve a better state of wellness.
Nature soothes and heals the nervous system and invites us to connect with something larger than ourselves. A walk through the woods, or by a river or ocean, scrubs us clean of worry, stress, and anxiety.

Ayurvedic Head Massage practices have strong roots in traditional Indian culture and are used in conjunction with herbs, spices and oils which have been known to encourage the body’s natural healing abilities. Yasei Ayurvedic Head Massage focuses on releasing energy blockages in the body and decreases symptoms within a wide range of ailments. It increases circulation to the head and promotes drainage of accumulated toxins.
Head massage can also help increase blood flow to the brain and scalp increasing the supply of nutrients and oxygen. This is all received by the brain and hair follicles and can result in better focus, clarity, memory and concentration, a nourished nervous system and immune system, and more balanced hormones. For the hair follicles, this helps to reduce hair loss, drying of hair and premature graying. Yasei Ayurvedic Head Massage with a compliment of oils can help reduce stress and can trigger the release of endorphins, elevating one’s mood.
